Sam Williams, the founder of the Arweave Protocol and CEO of Forward Research agrees that AO super computer will eventually rival commercial servers like Amazon Web Service.

Williams stated on CryptoSlate’s Podcast that Forward Research is working on how to help projects get their platforms on decentralised networks instead of distributed networks. The founder noted that some gateway nodes run on AWS or other cloud service providers.

“We internally at Forward Research have been experimenting with how can we bring those gateways and those indexing systems onchain inside AO so that you can just be real decentralisation; you can move between any of the compute units seamlessly and you can have state results,” Williams said, further explaining that bringing the platforms on on-chain and operating in AO guarantees economic security about the correctness of the information one is getting.

The founder also noted that with AO, developers can build frontends that are dynamic and still be decentralised. Being able to build a user interfaces that are not static, could help developers to break free from the centralised platforms such as AWS.

Describing how he feels about AO token design, Williams said he was proud of the mechanism that was built. He said a lot of time was spent to ensure it meets incentive requirements.
