Last Tuesday evening, the 8th session of the roundtable discussion recap took place, where PermaDAO core contributors @Kyle and @橙子Orange shared highlights and project opportunities from the past week. These included:

CosmWasm announced its integration with the AO network.
ArConnect became the first wallet to support purchasing AR tokens via wire transfer in USD.
WeaveVM achieved bi-directional data communication between EVM and Arweave.

2. Fireside Chat — Bitcoin Crashes, Altcoins Plunge, Has Arweave Bottomed Out?

Last Wednesday evening, PermaDAO hosted fireside chat-style event. The session was led by PermaDAO contributors @永青楠木 and @jia deng. From a beginner’s perspective and in an easy-to-understand manner, they provided a comprehensive introduction to the basics of Arweave and AO, the current market status, and future directions. They also delved into the investment potential of the ecosystem.

3. PermaDAO Technical Share Session — The Operational Principles of AO Process

Last Thursday evening, the PermaDAO community held a technical workshop on the AO Process, featuring a special invitation to PermaDAO Development Guild’s technical veteran, @Sandy. The workshop primarily utilized code demonstrations to thoroughly explain the operational mechanisms of the AO Process. Key topics included:

An in-depth introduction to wasm.
How CU utilize wasm.
The creation and execution process of processes within CU.

This session attracted numerous AO developers, who not only actively posed questions but also shared their insights and experiences in AO development.

4. OpenSpace Public Class — Powering Up Hello World with the Permaweb

Last week, PermaDAO collaborated with the Denglian Community, OpenBuild, Rebase, and AR.IO to host a public class. The session was led by @Ariel Melendez, the Chief Technology Officer of AR.IO, and covered:

Detailed introductions to Arweave, Permaweb, and the AR.IO network.
The importance of gateways in sending, retrieving, and discovering data on Arweave.
A live demonstration of how to upload data to the Permaweb.

3. Understanding Arweave's endowment: Exploration and Simulation

The Arweave network utilizes an endowment to ensure perpetual data storage, based on the reliable model of decreasing storage costs (Kryder's Law). Users pay a one-time fee equivalent to the base cost of 200 years of storage at current rates, achieving permanent data storage. As storage costs decrease, the purchasing power of donations gradually increases, ensuring the long-term economic viability of data storage.
