Log Store Network Integrates KYVE, Arweave To Guarantee Streamr Network Data validity and permanence
KYVE’s decentralised data validation service and Arweave’s data permanence capabilities were leveraged by Usher Labs’ Log Store Network to give Streamr, a data protocol, a technical upgrade that guarantees data integrity and availability.
Streamr said in a statement that Log Store Network, which was launched in alphanet on Monday, would help developers by enabling storage and querying of Streamr data in permissionless, decentralised and fully verifiable manner.
Developed in TypeScript and deployed on Polygon, some use cases for Log Store Network include data-driven on-chain token re-allocation for DeFi protocols; Web3-wide engagement-based reward for gamers; decentralised identity verification.
The Co-founder of Streamr Henri Pihkala said Log Store Network introduces automatic, decentralised and permanent storage to any kind of data transmitted over its network.
This expands the functionality of the Network, enabling users to store and query their data in a permissionless and verifiable manner,Pihkala said.
Data validation and data permanence, two key functions are made possible by KYVE and Arweave. KYVE functions in the validation layer which is required to ensure the optimum performance of the broker layer. The validator layer also determines which nodes are rewarded or penalised and how digital assets should be used by developers interacting with the network, Streamr said.
It is very exciting to see the first non-KYVE integration operating on our devnet, Korellia. As a data validation and archival solution, we strongly encourage projects like Log Store to bring forward new innovative ways for using KYVE’s decentralised tech to provide secure solutions to Web3, KYVE’s Lead Protocol developer, Troy Kessler said.
In addition to data validation, KYVE also serves as a channel through which data is stored on Arweave after it has been validated. Data stored on Arweave are read by nodes operating in the Broker Layer and then reports are submitted to the Streamr’s Polygon contract, a process Streamr said was inspired by Chainlink’s Off-chain reporting strategy and would minimise gas fees.
Log Store Network is a demonstration of how composition of existing networks and their respective value propositions can yield new and improved outcomes for Web3 developers, said Ryan Soury, founder of Usher Labs.
