Background of the Upgrade
Aolotto triggers the drawing of the jackpot in two ways:
When the total bets reach the betting target, the jackpot drawing occurs at a fixed time. In this case, the betting target increases with the prize pool in each round.
If the total bets do not reach the betting target, and no new bets are placed within 24 hours after any individual bet, the jackpot drawing is triggered forcefully, and the prize pool's base amount decreases.
Currently, Aolotto's jackpot distribution rules are:
If there is a winner in the round, the prize is awarded to the winner.
If there is no winner, the prize is awarded to the last bettor.
As the number of participants grows, it’s increasingly common for all 1,000 numbers to be selected in each round.
Once all the numbers are selected, there will definitely be a winner in that round, and the advantage of the last bettor disappears. Without a more effective incentive mechanism, this could lead to the jackpot being started before the betting target is met. In short, the continued growth of the prize pool is not only the original intent behind Aolotto’s game design, but also aligns with the long-term interests of the participants.
Design Philosophy
Aolotto’s game mechanism is inspired by the popular Fomo3D and has been innovated and improved upon. We believe that maintaining the last bettor's winning edge is an effective incentive to encourage more betting. This not only enhances the sense of participation in each round but also keeps players excited with every bet they place. The game’s long-term sustainability translates to higher returns and ongoing incentives for every participant.
Upgrade Plan
We have specifically upgraded the prize distribution mechanism to address the situation where the betting target is not met and the jackpot is triggered prematurely. If the betting target for the round is met, the original prize distribution rules will remain unchanged.
When the jackpot drawing starts without reaching the betting target, Aolotto's Grand Prize will be divided into two parts:
Last Bettor Extra Incentive = Grand Prize * MAX(1 - Total Bets / Betting Target, 0.01)
Winner’s Jackpot = Grand Prize * MIN(Total Bets / Betting Target, 0.99)
Where:
Grand Prize refers to the total accumulated prize for the current round.
Total Bets refers to the total accumulated bet amount in the current round.
Betting Target is the target bet amount pre-set by the protocol when the round starts. Once the target is reached, new bets will no longer extend the jackpot timer.
This means that if the betting target is not met, the last bettor will always have a winning edge.
To help understand, let’s consider an example: If the Grand Prize for the current round is $1000, the total bets are $700, and the betting target is $1000, then:
Last Bettor Extra Incentive = $1000 × (1 - 700 / 1000) = $300;
Winner’s Jackpot = $1000 × (700 / 1000) = $700.
This prize distribution only applies when the betting target is not met. If the total bets are ≥ $1000 (i.e., the betting target is met), the last bettor’s extra incentive becomes 0, and the winner’s jackpot is distributed according to the original rules: all bets with matching lucky numbers will share the jackpot. If no bets match, the last bettor will take the entire jackpot.
Implementation
This upgrade will go live at 00:00 GMT on February 15, 2025. Please adjust your betting strategy accordingly. AolottoFoundation reserves the final interpretation of these rules.
