Pianity releases the first music NFT mobile app for iOS and Android
The Pianity Mobile App is officially here!
Back in March Pianity – the Web3 music NFT marketplace powered by Arweave – announced it had raised $6.5m in a venture financing seed round that would enable them to further their efforts at forming new music industry partnerships. This also allowed them to onboard new artists and users, and further develop their protocol. Pianity’s mobile app is a great example of how they are actualising their plans.
The application is available today on Apple App Store and Google Play
Kevin Primicerio, CEO and co-founder of Pianity, had this to say about the release:
Our mobile app offers new ways for artists and fans to enjoy music, but also to join and develop music communities, Kevin Primicerio, CEO and co-founder of Pianity.
‘Web3 tools offer great opportunities for musicians to create value around music and deepen their relationship with their fans. With our mobile app, we aim at providing a one-stop music app standing out from any other app, where artists and music fans gather and take part in the artists’ journey’.
The Pianity Mobile App
Through the app users can:
- Enjoy unlimited streaming for free.
- Access the entire Pianity streaming service library.
- Discover new artists via “Discovery mode”.
- Joins artists’ communities, aka “clubs”.
- Engage with their favourite artists via in-app messaging.
- Get access to exclusive content from their favourite artists.
- Not worry about ads (Ad-free).
Let’s take a closer look!
Mobile app users can get unlimited access to all of the Pianity streaming service catalogue. They can stream any song or playlist available, while discovering new artists using “Discovery mode” – a feature that lets the app do the hard work for you. Users are also able to build their own collections by saving their favourite songs and playlists.
All songs on Pianity are lossless quality and stored forever on the Arweave blockchain, and streaming music on Pianity is free for all users, without any ads or subscription plan.
Users are also able to join their favourite artists’ communities, to connect with them on a deeper level, while also supporting them. Through token-gated group chats they can get together as communities and get instant access to exclusive experiences.
Basically, owning one of an artists NFTs, means that fans instantly get automatic access to that artist’s “club”. The club is essentially the exclusive members area where fans can talk to the artist, and all other club members, via the in-app messaging system, while also getting rewarded. Artists can reward their fans with exclusive experiences, such as unreleased songs, backstage access, or even involve them in the creative process of their next project.
If a user decides to sell their music NFT, the new owner automatically takes their place in the artist’s club.
What is Pianity?
Pianity is a music NFT platform where musicians and their communities gather to create, share, trade and collect limited-edition tracks. Launched in 2021, it was built from the ground up as a profit sharing community. Its high user rewards, amongst other things, is what makes it appealing to many artists and users alike. Their goal is to change the traditional music industry and streaming services by making the market fairer for all participants via the use of blockchain and Web3 technology.
