Immutable has become the first games creation project to use Irys’s provenance, a partnership the latter says will improve the games space with high-value information.
The partnership comes about a week after Irys bagged a partnership with Solana Mobile that will ensure data from the decentralised app store are stored in a permanent, precise, and unconstrained manner.
"We believe that incorporating strong provenance will improve the functionality of all verticals with high-value information. Games are no exception. Partnering with Immutable takes us one step closer to bringing this vision to fruition." said Josh Benaron, Irys founder.
A gaming platform for building Web3 games on Ethereum, Immutable. Developers can build games with Irys’s technology which stores data on Arweave’s decentralised network.
Irys said developers building in the immutable ecosystem can integrate the provenance layer with ease to enrich their games. It further stated that both companies’ technologies offer game developers “unparalleled usability and engaging experiences while retaining Ethereum-grade security”.
Provenance is the set of documentation that gives details of the origin of a piece of data including any form of attribution or labeling of the data. Irys said is provenance technology makes data permanent, precise, and unconstrained.
